New Iridium 9555 High Capacity Rechargable Battery with 6.5 Hours Talk Time (BAT41101)
This new battery provides customers with up to 6.5 hours talk time and up to 43 hours of standby time in full network coverage. This battery is integrated with the design of the 9555, is low profile and easy to install and remove.
The 9555 standard capacity battery will continue to ship with the 9555 phone kit and be available as an accessory. The 9555 high capacity battery is designed to be sold as an add-on purchase.
This new battery will allow customers to keep their phones on longer to make additional phone calls, use data services for longer or extend time between recharges. The 9555 high capacity battery will work properly with all firmware versions but in order for the battery icon on the phone to display to provide an accurate representation of the charge level, phone firmware HT11001 or newer is required.
