Iridium Beam SatRADIO (Portable) RST825
Beam SatRADIO RST825 provides a rapidly-deployable battery-backed satellite to two-way radio interface for use in a vehicle or fixed location, allowing satellite communications over the Iridium satellite system through traditional two-way radio handsets.
The flexibility of using standard two-way radio devices with a satellite system provides the flexibility to take satellite access into areas where it has previously not been possible. This includes tunnels, buildings, mines and environments requiring intrinsically safe equipment.
The RST825 can be rapidly deployed anywhere on earth and will enable any two-way radio tuned to the same frequency to be on a virtual radio network. Satellite calls can then be made or received via a two-way handset connected to the same frequency as the SatRADIO terminal.
It is possible for the SatRADIO to automatically dial back to a preset number upon power-up. Alternatively, a unique number can be set for each use, or numbers can be manually dialed from the two-way radio handset after entering the pass code.
The RST825 can be rapidly deployed for use anywhere, anytime. The inbuilt battery back-up provides up to 50 hours of operational time to the user.
