Fixed VSAT antennas are available in different transmit and receive frequency bands, such as Ku, Ka, C-band. They range in sizes from 2.4 m VSAT antennas to smaller 1.2m dishes in diameter. Complete systems for VSAT satellite internet include the dish, BUC (Block Up Converter) to transmit data to the satellite, an LNB (Low Noise Block) receiver to receive signals reflected off the dish and bring down its frequency so it can be used by a modem.

Application

Fixed antennas are ideal for remote systems in a stable location that do not need to be moved once installed. They provide instant access to satellite communications for any application that requires reliable and remote connectivity in a rugged environment. Generally, they are installed at sites for oil and gas exploration, mining, disaster management, construction, mobile offices, and emergency services.

VSAT Configurations

The larger the parabolic dish, the stronger the signal, which results in higher throughput speeds and they are able to better withstand bad weather conditions. The smaller VSAT systems are typically used at remote locations that support a single (or few) terminals whereas the larger models are used for sites that need strong reception and transmission to achieve higher bandwidths to process high data traffic.

1.2 m VSAT Antennas

Bundled Internet kits such as the 1.2m De-Ice Antenna System and 1.2m Ku band Sitelink option come with necessary components to get the VSAT system installed for dependable data and voice services.

For a motorized antenna system, the iNetVu 120 Ka-band or Ku-band solutions have a self-pointing auto-acquire unit with a 1.2m offset, prime focus, and thermoset-molded reflector designed to work with the iNetVu 7024C controller and popular commercially available satellite modems. They have a 3-axis motorization, support manual control when required and are cost-effective systems for multi-satellite communication at any location.

With one button, the motorized antenna acquires a signal with a Ka-band or Ku-band satellite within minutes. These systems can locate satellites using advanced acquisition methods and they eliminate costly repointing and network downtime due to adverse weather conditions or areas where ground shifts occur due to earthquakes or mine blast zones.

1.8m VSAT Antennas

Options in the 1.8m configuration include the 1.8m Ku band VSAT Antenna internet kit and the iNetVu 180 Fixed Motorised Antenna system. iNetVu offers a self-pointing auto-acquire unit compatible with the iNetVu 7024 Controller. It comes with a 1.8m offset, prime focus, glass fiber SMC reflector and works seamlessly with most commercially available satellite modems.

It has a 2-axis motorization with manual control when required and has an auto-pointing controller to acquire a signal with any Ku or C band satellite. The system is designed for 4W and higher BUCs.

2.4m C band VSAT Antenna

The 2.4m C Band Platinum Internet Kit is a high-performance system offered in an extensive bundle that includes an iDirect Evolution X5 Satellite Router, 2.4M Ku-Band Tx/Rx Class III Antenna, a 25 Watt BUC - C Band, C Band LNB, Skyware Global C-Band RxTx Feed, and a Cisco Catalyst 24 Port Switch.
